Wedding Wednesday: Asking My Bride Tribe

As soon as I became engaged I knew who I wanted to ask to stand with me as part of my "Bride Tribe" and I started thinking of a cute way to  ask them. Pinterest and google had so many cute ideas to use for inspiration. When I think "wedding" I think champagne and cake. So I made custom etched champagne flutes with my girls' names on them, which I put with a mini bottle of champagne in a pretty silver wooden box. Then I added a crumbled layer cake in a mason jar to go with it.

The cake was so easy to make. I literally made boxed cake and then crumbled it and added layers of pink buttercream icing. So tasty and the perfect sweet treat!

My wooden boxes I bought at Michaels and just spray painted them with silver.
They turned out so well. I added some tissue paper, a custom card from Etsy, the custom champagne flute, and the mini bottle of champage.
I'm so excited continue to share our wedding planning process. There is so much to look forward to!

Beach Escape

This past weekend we took a nice day trip to the beach for a little R&R day trip. We live a little over an hour from the nearest beach but we still don't seem to make it there very often. And there is nothing better than kicking back in the sand with a book and watching the waves.

That time I tried on a wedding dress

Now that Steph's wedding is over I can finally post this and cross it off my bucket list. When we went to look a bridal gowns a funny thing happened....I ended up trying on a wedding gown. Now, before you go rolling your eyes thinking geez what an example of an overly eager maid of honor stay with me. I tried it on at my sister's request! She couldn't make her mind up between two absolutely gorgeous bridal gowns and she wanted to compare them while they were both on someone. So I stepped in to help her out, and in the process got to wear a pretty snazzy get up!

She ended up going with the one I had one because she liked the back more.
