Continuing Quarantine, Stuck Inside, & A Parade of Food

I'm going to try posting weekly recaps every Sunday so I can be more accountable with my food intake, workouts, and share a little about my life each week. With everything sort of on pause during quarantine (thank you, covid-19) there really is not much to do and blogging has been such a great escape.

How to Use Your Phone in Italy - Yes, you can! It's easy!

A working cell phone while traveling is pretty much indispensable. To me, it's like comfortable shoes or clean underwear. And while you can try to get by updating your Instagram by using the many places you can get free WiFi (I did that on my honeymoon), having a working cell phone eliminates a lot of stress by enabling you to make calls, use google maps, communicate, update your Instagram, and just feel like you are still connected to the world even though you may be a world away from home.

Our Wedding Story

I'm so excited to share my wedding day details with you! My husband and I were married on a gorgeous September day in 2017 in front of around 100 of our close friends and family.
My top three priorities for our wedding was: (1) a stunning wedding venue, (2) delicious food that would knock the socks off our guests, and (3) for our guests to have FUN. We didn't want anything too over the top and I'm happy to say I think we got it right! I can't wait to share it with you.

Celebrating My Sister's Engagement

Yesterday night the families got together to officially celebrate my sister's engagement. It was at this beautiful manor restaurant and the food was mmmmm so good! It was nice to see his side of the family and catch up with them. I hadn't seen them in a while.

I was in charge of the favors so my mom and I devised a plan for diamond decorated cupcakes. The cupcakes were vanilla with pink buttercream icing accented with a diamond decoration on top and served in a peek-a-boo box (so you could see the diamond) with a seal and message.
They were a big hit and everyone loved the idea. I do believe I heard whispering of my soon-to-be brother in law's mom using the idea for another occasion in fact! What can I say, my family lives to inspire.

Also, since it was on my Aunt's birthday I wanted to incorporate something to celebrate that too so I used some pink striped cupcake liners I had from a present she had given me a year or so ago. They went perfectly with the pink of the icing!

My favorite part was the peek a boo box.
Maybe I'll open my own bakery some day! LOL
Do you like to bake?
Have you hosted an engagement party?

After All Is Said and Done...

After 4 years of trials, tribulations, sleep deprivation, smiles, tears, sweat, changes, growth, fights, laughs, memories, fun, and...well...studying (LOTS of studying), I can finally say: I did it! I made it through undergrad and I earned my Bachelor's Degree!

21st Birthday Trip to AC

I recently celebrated my 21st birthday!! At school, I had my midnight birthday shabang with my friends, then the next day I had a birthday dinner with my family, and then to finish out my birthday celebration, I spent the weekend with my boyfriend who took me to AC to celebrate in style! I've included some pictures of the hotel we stayed at, the Borgata hotel. This hotel is beautiful and included a casino (of course), delicious restaurants, bars, etc. I spent a good part of the night in front of the penny and nickel slots but I ended up walking away with$36 buckaroos! I had borrowed $5 from my boyfriend to get the slot machine going so I was pretty psyched to walk away with a profit of $31 in my pocket!
