Beach Escape

This past weekend we took a nice day trip to the beach for a little R&R day trip. We live a little over an hour from the nearest beach but we still don't seem to make it there very often. And there is nothing better than kicking back in the sand with a book and watching the waves.

I also love people-watching while at the beach. There are always people playing volleyball, kids building sandcastles, and families running around laughing. The only thing I can't stand is the birds! They're so pesky and land right next to you and just stare at you. So weird.
