5 Things To Do In Vegas That Aren't Gambling

 Vegas Sign

There is so much to do in Las Vegas that there is something for everyone even if you are traveling with couples, friends, bachelors/bachelorettes, kids, newlyweds, or families. Today I'm sharing 5 things to do in Las Vegas that are not gambling

If you have been a visitor to my blog for a while you know that I celebrated my younger brother's 21st birthday in Las Vegas in 2018. I already shared a quick Travel Guide but this is focusing on five things that you can in Las Vegas that are not gambling. Of course, there's nothing wrong with responsibly gambling if that's what you want to do -- it's just not my thing.

1. Take in a show!

There are so many world class performers frequenting Las Vegas that you can find a variety of shows at any of the casino theaters. From magicians (Penn & Teller) to music (Britney Spears or Celine Dion) to theatrical performance (Cirque du Soleil), you'll find something to enjoy.
We saw Penn & Teller and The Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil shows. I can highly recommend both!

2. Walk the strip and explore.

One great thing about simply walking around? It's free! And in Vegas there is so much to see. You can easily spend hours wandering through each casino, which on their own are their own little worlds.

Where else can you visit the Eiffel Tower and a volcano in the span of an hour?

3. Shop!

Of course, where there are casinos there are shops! Where else can people spend their winnings?! If you are looking for world class high end shops you'll find them! This promenade in front of Caesar's Palace had great shopping.
If you're looking for kid-friendly candy stores you'll find those too! There is literally an entire M&Ms store on Las Vegas Boulevard. There is no shortage of places to shop til you drop!

4. Visit the resorts themselves -- even if you aren't staying there.

The water fountain show outside the Bellagio goes off every 30 minutes and is set to music. It's a must see if you're near that resort.
You can also go inside for their inside exhibit -- which was free and flower themed when we were there.

Depending on the resort, you may even be able to use their pool. I know Caesar's Palace allows non-guests to use their pools. Some other resorts allow it for a small fee.

5. Eat, eat, and eat some more.

Along with the world-renowned performers there is also a ton of world-renowned chefs gracing Las Vegas. So whether you want to enjoy a strip steak on the Vegas Strip or tons of nachos at Flavortown with Guy Fieri, you will find a restaurant that suits your belly AND your budget. And of course you can't go wrong with one of the famous buffets. I recommend the Baccanal Buffet. It literally has everything.

And if those five ideas are not enough...here are five more surprise things to do!

1. Visit the Hoover Dam! This is worth renting a car for--trust me.
2. Visit Downtown Las Vegas, especially if you're there during their First Friday festivities (during the first Friday of every month).
3. Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay.
4.  Indoor Skydiving or Top Golf.
5.  Fly Linq ziplining.
